Frezzcanti

Packaging

This is Colombia’s first sparkling wine, a bold offering from a country not traditionally known for wine production. This innovative product breaks away from conventional wine norms, presenting an opportunity to redefine the category with a fresh perspective.
The challenge was to create a distinct identity that diverged from traditional sparkling wine aesthetics, such as Lambrusco and Cava. By embracing Colombia’s unique position in the wine world, we infused Latin American influences into the design, blending tradition with modernity.
The solution centered on the name “Frezzcanti,” a fusion of “Fresco” (fresh) and “Canti” (from Frizzanti), highlighted by the double “ZZ” to emphasize fizziness. Graphically, round shapes evoke bubbles, arranged like an abstract painting. A tropical color palette—warm reds and pinks for the red variant, refreshing blues for the white—complements typography inspired by 1970s Italian signage, updated with contemporary flair.
